ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
- Achieving sales targets, performance plans and rigorous objective standards with the team
- Analyse sales data on sales and develop plans to address performance gaps
- Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure a strong presence
- Coordinating with Marketing on lead generation
- Identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Recommending changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Provide expertise when setting and adjusting pricing plans and discount rates
- Present sales and revenue reports and realistic forecasts to division management
- Organise weekly sales meetings as well as one on ones for coaching and performance monitoring
- Be an ambassador of the company to clients by knowing the company culture and values and adhering to the company rules and regulations
- Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required
- Maintain professional conduct
- Ensure dress code is in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain housekeeping standards on a daily basis
- Ensure standards of Health and Safety are maintained
COMPETENCES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- 5 – 10 years related sales experience
- Excellent communication ability
- Proven track record related to sales achieved for the last 12 months
- Must be professional at all times
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently and have good interpersonal skills to work with customers, management and the sales team
- Knowledge of the Supply Chain Industry and experience communicating with people at executive level.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
- Cold calling ability and qualifying of calls
